Caixabank considers cash dividend

The banking sector is starting anew. After cleaning up its act, the banks are turning a profit again and are preparing to pay shareholders a cash dividend. CaixaBank, the firm led by Isidro Fainé, could take in a billion euros of revnues this year, which it would need in order to pay a cash dividend instead of giving shareholders extra stock.

The bank has followed its gameplan this year, but at the beginning of 2015 banks will start to really turn a profit and pay larger cash dividends. If that pans out, then investors will be compensated for bearing some tough years during the recession.
