Jan 9 (Reuters) - Canada's economy unexpectedly lost 4,300 jobs in December, as gains in full-time jobs were outpaced by losses in part-time employment, according to Statistics Canada data released on Friday.
The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 6.6 percent.
NOTE:
- Analysts surveyed by Reuters had expected the economy to add 15,000 jobs in December and the unemployment rate to remain at 6.6 percent.
- The employment figures are seasonally adjusted.
- Hourly wage figures are for permanent employees.
