SHANGHAI (Reuters) - China will extend the period for subsidizing the purchase of "green" new energy vehicles to 2020, according to draft rules published on Tuesday, extending the current incentive scheme which expires at the end of 2015.
The draft rules were posted on the website of the country's Ministry of Finance seeking feedback from the public.
In a battle against pollution, China has set an ambitious goal of putting half a million new-energy vehicles on the road by 2015 and 5 million by 2020.
