Reasons to believe the jobs will come

It is clear that the job market is better than it was a year ago. In March we saw the lowest number of unemployment filings since 2006 (they were down by 16,620) and Social Security contributions grew for the seventh consecutive month, hitting 83,984.

The situation looks even better when taking into account that Semana Santa has not been factored in. This year, it happens in April. Still, it's great that 2,500 Spaniards are finding jobs daily and that the construction sector is revitalizing. The only negative factor is that the quality of new jobs is questionable. While most of them are temporary, hopefully more full-time jobs will be created by next fall.
