Pop-up retail, also known as flash retail, has been popular in the United States for about ten years, and it arrived in Spain by way of Barcelona. This style of retail uses short-term sales spaces and is most common in major urban areas.
Pop-up stores are a modern method of boosting sales. That is the biggest goal of business -- to find creative ways to spark flagging consumption. Both small shops and major brands use the system to liquidate stored up merchandise, test new products or debut new labels.
Flash retail is also used to sell products with a temporary lifespan, such as video games. The phenomenon is peaking because of its adaptability that allows companies to concentrate their efforts where and when they are needed and expand when necessary and to contract when business is slow, which reduces risk during tough times.
