Global economy still uncertain after Fed decisions

Markets will continue to monitor how and when the United States Federal Reserve ends its program of buying government bonds in an effort to stimulate the US economy.

In a Fed meeting held on June 31, a majority of the institution's workers agreed to extend its stimulus buying until the end of the year but to stop the program soon after.

This is more dark news for the global economy. The Fed's plans will be clearer once July employment numbers are published. We already know that the Fed has tied its stimulus program to the status of US employment. So its ultimate plans will depend on the American labor situation.
