While in Miami, the President will travel to the University of Miami where he will tour the school?s Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) where students learn how to become industrial energy-efficiency experts as they help small- to mid-sized manufacturers reduce their energy costs. University of Miami?s IAC is one of 24 nationwide and is part of the Department of Energy?s Industrial Assessment Program. Following the tour, the President will deliver remarks discussing his blueprint for an economy built to last.
Later, the President will deliver remarks at a campaign event at the Biltmore Hotel. The President?s remarks are pooled for television and open to pre-credentialed correspondents. The President will then deliver remarks at a campaign event at a private residence.
In the evening, the President will depart Miami, Florida en route Orlando, Florida.

At 8:30 a.m. EST, initial jobless claims will be announced in the U.S., with consensus for 355,000 new claims, up from 348,000 last week. Continuing claims are anticipated to come in at 3.455 million.
U.S. home prices will be released at 10:00 a.m. EST. Economists polled by Bloomberg forecast the index to advance 0.1 percent month-on-month in December.
The Kansas City Federal Reserve will announce activity in its region at 11:00 a.m. EST, with expectations for the index to improve to 9 in February, from 7 a month earlier.
