NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks were little changed at the open on Friday as investors struggled to interpret mixed messages on the economy from the January U.S. jobs report.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 3.11 points, or 0.03 percent, at 12,059.15. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 0.04 points, or 0.00 percent, at 1,307.14. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 2.30 points, or 0.08 percent, at 2,756.18.
