The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> added 32.77 points, or 0.29 percent, to 11,225.35. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> gained 4.49 points, or 0.37 percent, to 1,203.70. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> rose 10.77 points, or 0.43 percent, to 2,528.98.
