Mexico City, Feb 9 (EFE).- Gunmen killed five people and wounded 20 others in an attack over the weekend on partygoers in Ciudad Juarez, located across the border from El Paso, Texas, Mexican media reported.
The shooting occurred on Saturday night in the Felipe Angeles section of the border city, where gunmen attacked about 30 people attending a party.
At least four gunmen opened fire on partygoers outside a house, police said.
Other gunmen threw Molotov cocktails at the vehicles parked outside the house, setting at least four on fire.
The wounded partygoers were transported to a hospital in private vehicles, ambulances and a truck that was passing through the area.
Ciudad Juarez was the scene of a massacre of partygoers that garnered national and international headlines five years ago.
Gunmen murdered 15 young men attending a birthday party in the Villas de Salvarcar section of Juarez on Jan. 31, 2010.
