Infotrieve, Inc. (www.infotrieve.com), the global leader in business service solutions for information centers today announced the successful rollout of the new Content SCM® software solution at the biopharma company UCB, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
Content SCM is Infotrieve´s revolutionary web–based technology for automating document sourcing and delivery with a full array of rights management capabilities, copyright compliance auditing, and complete view of content usage throughout the entire organization - both licensed and pay–per–view content - built right in. It is the only product on the market which brings document delivery and rights management together in one seamless solution.
"Within UCB, teams from Global Library Services, Medical Affairs, and IT collectively reviewed and analyzed several products to help us innovate and integrate the information services available to our employees," said Andrew Clark, Group Leader of UCB Library Services, "and Infotrieve´s Content SCM offered a truly complete end–to–end solution to meet our global self–service, copyright compliance, and administrative needs."
UCB´s Project Manager for this implementation, Barbara Reissland commented: "It has been a great experience working with Infotrieve, who have been committed and shown support and willingness to respond to the specific global needs of UCB and to provide solutions."
A unique content supply chain management platform, Content SCM was designed from the point of view of the actual content user and the administrators responsible for managing, purchasing, and ensuring copyright compliance of that content.
End users can easily research content using integrated search and discovery platforms with advanced citation referencing capabilities, select and order specific articles, advise as to how the content is being used, see the cost of the article, and then place an order. Content SCM will check copyright compliance rights based on each client agreement with reproductive rights organizations then secure the article through licensed content, internal holdings, or on a pay–per–view basis.
By implementing Content SCM, administrators have a full view of all content being accessed and by whom, the intended usage of each article, compliance details, how it was delivered, and all associated costs. This granular information will allow for more cost effective content licensing in the future.
"We are very excited with the launch of Content SCM at UCB. UCB´s culture of collaboration has been instrumental in the successful rollout," said Petra Labriga, Managing Director of Europe for Infotrieve. "We look forward to a long partnership with such an innovative organization," she added.
Content SCM has several patents pending.
