Tech large-caps lead Wall Street rise

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose further on Friday with the Nasdaq Composite briefly notching a 3 percent gain as large companies in the technology sector led the way in the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq.

* Microsoft , up 3.5 percent, and Apple , up 5.4 percent, lead the Nasdaq's 3 percent jump.

* IBM , up 3 percent, is the top points leader of the Dow.

* The Dow <.DJI> rose 215.53 points, or 2.46 percent, at 8,991.92. The S&P 500 <.SPX> jumped 24.11 points, or 2.67 percent, at 927.36. The Nasdaq <.IXIC> gained 45.92 points, or 2.91 percent, at 1,622.95.
