(Reuters) - At least three people were seriously injured on Wednesday when a tornado hit a gas drilling rig in northern Texas, the Weather Channel reported, citing the Hemphill County sheriff.
It said the drilling rig is near Canadian, a town of nearly 3,000 residents that is 100 miles northeast of Amarillo in the Texas panhandle.
The Hemphill County sheriff could not immediately be reached for comment.
