CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters) - The U.S. space shuttle Endeavour skipped its first opportunity for a Florida landing at 7:05 p.m. EDT (11:05 p.m. British time) on Wednesday because of clouds around the Kennedy Space Center, NASA officials said.
A second opportunity for a landing after the shuttle's16-day mission to deliver part of a Japanese space laboratoryto the International Space Station will be at 8:39 p.m. EDT(0039 GMT Thursday), with the spacecraft's descent startingabout an hour earlier.
