Wall Street rises after Dimon's comments

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose in choppy trade on Wednesday, after JPMorgan's Chief Executive Jamie Dimon told CNBC the bank has been profitable for the first two months of 2009.

Apple unveils a new iPod shuffle, leads Nasdaq rise of more than 1 pct.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 43.09 points, or 0.62 percent, to 6,969.58. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> added 6.33 points, or 0.88 percent, to 725.93. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> rose 20.51 points, or 1.51 percent, to 1,378.79.
