Yahoo's chief financial officer to leave

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Yahoo Inc Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen is leaving the Internet company, the latest in a series of executive departures since CEO Carol Bartz took the reins six weeks ago.

Yahoo has initiated a search for a new CFO and Jorgensen will remain through a "transition period," the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.

The move comes amid expectations that Bartz is on the brink of announcing a major corporate reorganization.

Yahoo shares were up 5.3 percent at $13.14 on the Nasdaq, having risen since Jorgensen said at a Goldman Sachs technology conference on Wednesday that the company was open to a sale of its search business.
