Germany is struggling. Yesterday the nation's Economic Minister, Sigmar Gabriel, slashed growth forecast for 2014 and 2015. For this year, the figure dropped from 1.8% in positive growth to just 1.2%.
In 2015, the German GDP is expected to rise a slight 1.3%, which is seven tenths of a point lower than the 2% that experts predicted in the spring. Despite the dismal numbers, Eurogrupo and Ecofin will not make any moves this week, leaving any decisions in the hands of ECB managers who will meet next month.
