EU to give aid to farmers, but is it enough?

The European Commission's decision to use 125 euros to support to industrial food industry in Europe after supply lines to Russia were cut off is a good thing to help prop up prices now that demand is slack, but not enough according to Spain's Minister of Agriculture and the nation's farmers.

The measure is mediocre at best, and it will not do much to slow falling prices. The EU should take responsibility for its policy decisions (sanctioning Russia in this case) and adopt sweeping measures to avoid more economic turmoil as Europe tries to recover.
