November 9 is approaching quickly. This is the date that Catalonia is expected to have a vote on whether to break from Spain. Meanwhile, management groups have spearheaded an initiative to dissolve tensions and reach a solution that everyone likes.
In other words, they want a Catalonia that maintains both its historic rights, but stays a Spanish state. Support for this "third route" is unanimous. Many important bodies are rallying behind a change to the Spanish Constitution that Miñon has proposed: economic councils, the Ministry of Public Works, the stock market regulators, Pymec, Chambers of Commerce. This last-minute sensibility from businesses could save Artur Mas and create a legal, solid agreement between Catalonia and Spain.
