The scandals continue for Jenaro García. Since the Wi-Fi company's scandal broke earlier this month, the model CEO has unveiled a series of surprises that show that the reality he built was an enormous fiction. One trick was paying a housekeeper 300 euros to be a front for a fake company.
Also, he had no reservations about creating a network of fake companies to inflate earnings. So where was Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), the Spanish company that deals with the organizational aspects of the Spanish stock exchanges and financial markets, during all this? In the midst of a scandal where many people are looking the other way, the CNMV is investigating the BME's role, because it was supposed to be overseeing the MAB, the small stock exchange where Garcías company was listed. We need to get to the root of this issue. Not doing so will risk financing opportunities for small- and mid-size companies.
