What happened with Gowex raises the question: why hasn't the MAB, Spain's Alternative Stock Market, done anything about this serious situation? Gowex keeps falling after a report from Gotham City and a lack of clear communication from the company. For MAB, as with any other stock market, the first priority should be to protect investors.
It does not make sense that the MAB did not suspend Gowex trading on Tuesday. This is the second major crisis to hit the MAB recently (the first was with Zinkia) and it is obvious that this market does not have the tools to confront such crises. When faced with confusion, we need clarity and information, which is clearly lacking here. At this point, Gowex and the MAB are both in a tough place.
