What goes up must come down, and that's exactly what has happened with roaming prices in Europe. Starting July 1, the EU will reduce price limits on data downloading to less than half of what they were from 45 to 20 cents per megabyte. This is a major priority for internet users across Europe.
In 2007 the price for roaming data charges had skyrocketed. The EU then carried out a series of measures that reduced the cost for these services to between 80% and 90% of what they were by 2014.
The measures benefit all mobile device users, make communications cheaper for everyone and increase competitiveness for companies and the economy.
