Castor oil well decision not easy

The Geographic Institute said in a recent report backed by the Ministry of Industry that there was a direct relationship between the more than 400 earthquakes that occurred off the coast of Castellón last September and pumping gas into the Castor oil well. Now that the cause of the problem has been identified, José Manuel Soria's department is in trouble.

First, they will have to choose between closing down the facilities and checking them again. If they decide to nix them, which the region would not encourage, a new stage will open during which the Ministry will need to come up with some solutions. Worse, the courts will question whether Castor is guilty of some sort of fraud or negligence.
