Football clubs battle television networks

They could not score a goal on the radio stations and they are trying on the television networks. The Liga de Fútbol Profesional is trying to charge television networks for running recaps of their games and wants to create proprietary products, which will cost money, of course, for the way their announcers shout "goal."

The ball clubs say that the recaps that run now are pirated while the media companies claim they have rights to the information. Surely, the sport of football is trying to stay afloat during a tough financial crisis in Spain. But keeping sports news from the public is, besides being impossible thanks to social media, an unnecessary assault on the sport's fan base. The clubs should tighten their belts and increase transparency, because this is one game that we are all in together.
