The latest renewable energy tariffs will create major cuts. The biggest hit will affect wind farms. According to industry management, the wind farms will bear 67% of the cost of these cuts and only receive 27% of tariffs.
The Ministry of Industry has ordered wind farms older than ten years will not get any tariffs, because they have already received 7.39% more aid that government decided to invest. This latest cut, which is not surprising given that it affects the oldest systems, has caused unrest within the sector in which many companies are struggling. More specific, they are operating at a loss or thinking about bankruptcy. More aid will probably ensue.
