Good news for the Spanish economy

The Minister of the Economy announced yesterday in Parliament that the economy grew 0.3% in Q4 2013. Last year was the first year since the crisis began that the number of new jobs were higher than in the previous year.

The government is going to changes its forecast for 2014 from negative to positive. The unemployment rate is expected to drop beneath 25% next year (4% more than expected). The foreign sector is going to keep driving the economy, but domestic spending is already starting to revitalize. This is good news, but the government still needs to finalize pending reforms in order to slow down the economy and jeopordize the nation's recovery.
