Ministry of Industry seeks revenue in energy taxes

Facing problems with the energy sector was one of the undone tasks that the government could not afford to delay much longer. But looking back at what happened, it's obvious that a reform of this magnitude should not have been carried out so hastily.

Despite the government's hurry to execute energy sector reforms, many new taxes have not been applied because laws outlining these taxes were not drafted soon enough. As a result, the government has not collected the revenues that it hoped for and to make up for it has had to make more cuts to renewable energy programs.

In 2014 the government hopes to collect 556 million more with energy taxes, which will help pay down the power deficit and keep it from snowballing any more.
