After Rumasa, New Rumasa and an alleged promissory note scam, which has brought a judicial seizure of all the family's assets, it looks like the grown children of Ruiz Mateos are now using several fronts to open restaurants in Madrid.
Several personal friends and confidants are helping the family. That indicates that in addition to defying the courts, it is almost certain at this point that the family is hiding money in tax havens.
