Not only the US stocks indexer are celebrating the boom in equities. A good part of the investment strategies created by elEconomista are also taking advantage of the historic bullish run and Eco30 is one of them.
This index, which includes thirty-two stocks according certain criteria of elEconomista, FactSet and Stoxx, includes eleven US companies, which represent around 37 percent of the portfolio.
International Paper, Prudential Financial, American Capital Agency, HollyFrontier, Delta Air Lines, Invesco, Noble, Actavis, Apple, Freeport-McMoRan and Time Warner Cable are the US companies included in the Eco 30. Of these, only the last three reported a negative performance year to date. While they all have a clear recommendation to buy, according to market consensus, some more than others have contributed to the 9 percent rise recorded by Eco 30 since the beginning of the 2013.
Actually, the company that has registered the best performance so far is Delta Air Lines, which is poised to increase it´s share value around 34 percent in 2013. In fact, on March 5th, Delta recorded a market high since February 2008 at $15.86. So far, Delta Air Lines is the Eco30´s component with most buy recommendations from analysts and a target price of $17.5.
