Sanjose will lead the construction of the Louvre's first building outside of France, a building to be located in Abu Dabi. If the contract is worth 660 million dollars (505 million euros) this represents a major boost for Sanjose's profits and an inroad into the United Arab Emirates, which is one of the world's hottest spots for infrastructure projects.
The Galician bank has two reasons for reeling satisfied after this ruling. First of all, its strategy to look long and hard for business opportunities outside of Spain has already yielded results. Second, little by little the company continues to globalize its business model.
