Business owners try to pacify Mas

Mariano Rajoy and Artur Mas held a critical meeting today. They both took detailed notes while each other spoke, indicating that they take Spain's situation very seriously.

Rajoy cannot deal with Catalonia's demands with a simple "hooray," and Mas needs to understand that this is not the time to create a political mess.

Catalonian business owners seem to know that the region needs a fiscal pact, but they do not agree that that connotes independence, and Mas has been made aware of this. It's not time for changing the constitution, but it is time to start thinking about the possibility that not all regions should be treated the same.
