Strike against Renfe deregulation

The second strike held in 24 hours in protest of deregulating Renfe train transport was hardly successful.

With the exception of some delays going into Madrid and Barcelona during peak hours, local train users could get to their destinations where they waited at metro or bus stops. Business did not fall and, in general, there weren't significant delays to deal with. The labor unions attributed it to minimum services, but perhaps they should also think about the strike's poor timing -- the conditions of the Renfe deregulation were not even known.

Yet again they are clinging to the hope that any change will be for the worse. That is their problem.
