Op-ed: Greeks and Germans warring it out

Another day of negotiations for Greece. The hard core of the euro lead by Germany fears April elections. Who is assuring them that after elections and bailout loans Greece will comply with its obligations?

This answer is not clear, so the two main parties are forming an alliance to govern together. But surveys show that the three extreme leftist parties in Greece already have a majority collectively. This radical coalition does not look tenable at this time, but it does justify Germany's fears, especially after so much fruitless time has passed already.

That's why Schauble would suggest installing a technocrat government in Greece. The staging of tensions between rescued and rescuing countries is harming everyone and compromising economic recovery. A little discretion, gentleman.
