Op-ed: AVE now "made in Spain", exports to begin

The sale of the AVE La Meca-Medina concourse means more than economic gains of nearly 7 billion euros. It demonstrates that the high-speed railroad 'made in Spain' will not only work in our country, but has other applications as well.

What Saudi Arabia confides in our national industry will be critical for opening the door to new contracts. First in the Middle East, where there are various candidates that will close attention to this start-up project. And later, in other countries such as the USA and Brazil, where they need to build their network.

José Blanco, Minister of Public Works, has played a key role considering that he promoted the merger between the Spanish candidate to AVE Saudi.
