Op-ed: Teddy Bautista insatiable, wants more from SGAE

Ex-president of the Sociedad General de Autores y Editores, a group responsible for collecting and managing royalties on art and other creative media in Spain, cannot be satisfied. Investigated when corruption was discovered in the heart of the SGAE and after qualifying his departure as 'voluntary,' now he is demanding judicial action to investigate his firing and provide compensation for undue dismissal. The package would be nothing less than 800,000 euros.

The two-million euro pension and social funds were obviously not enough for him. Or perhaps he was not able to save enough of his 338,182 euro per year salary in the past, or his lied publicly about how much it was. Or perhaps his holdings in theaters bought with authors? rights made him have a big mouth.

What a poor rich guy. His avarice is always greater than his loss of reputation and even public embarrassment will not slow him down. Another tyrant asks for clemency.
