Adding to the government's frustrated attempt to go public with Loterías, now they are dealing with delays for the privatization of Barajas and el Prat airports. None of the big banks or Ibex titans most prone to bid want to make such an expensive and demanding investment.
Market timing is ill-fated for the government's in extremis and impromptu actions, which are designed to compensate for its past history of squandering. The prudence could end positively.
Even more so if we take into account that an eventual deal cancellation propitiated by the government will not put any costs on Aena Aeropuertos. At the least, it will not risk the future with indemnification payments.
