The battle between bears and bulls continues long after the main Spanish market regulator, the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), prohibited Spanish banks and insurance companies from taking short positions until September 30.
The last publication from the CNMV reveals that in the past two weeks, the bears have put Grifols in their scope once again and control 1.6% of its capital, up from 0.7% previously. This is the highest figure since December of 2010.
That said, Grifols is one of those that best dodged the bearish turn in the markets. The test for that is that its shares topped 3% of its mean price from the past six months, in addition to showing a 37% yield on the year.
