Ono delays it´s IPO due to financial markets volatility

Ono has no doubt that the current economic situation has cancel any plans to go public over this year. The company forgot all the optimistic forecasts made in the spring of 2010 and now tries to reverse it´s decision of launching it´s IPO this year due to the instability and volatility of financial markets. According to sources close to the company, last year decision assumed that things could change since "caution and responsibility" where a must above launching going public.

Rosalia Portela, Ono´s CEO, said in April 2010, at an informal meeting with journalists that the cable operator could launch it´s IPO during 2011.

However, she imposed some conditions such as "convincing potential investors that the company  was a profitable business" and that the financial markets environment should be much stronger.

Ono´s achieved the first requirement without any trouble, we just only have to look at the company´s financial results, but the second, is far from achieving the companies goal.
