NEW YORK (Reuters) - Health insurer Humana Inc posted far lower quarterly net profit on Monday, hurt by a variety of expenses, but raised its 2011 profit forecast on better-than-expected sales of its Medicare plans for the elderly.
The company said fourth-quarter net income fell to $107.3 million, or 63 cents per share, from $250.7 million, or $1.48 per share, a year earlier.
