Nasdaq rises 1 percent

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose in early trading on Thursday, with the Nasdaq up 1 percent, as concerns about rising yields in some euro zone countries eased and on bets corporate America will beat a lowered bar of earnings expectations.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 113.04 points, or 0.88 percent, to 12,918.43. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> gained 12.96 points, or 0.95 percent, to 1,381.67. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> gained 32.51 points, or 1.08 percent, to 3,048.97.
