NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks hit session highs late Monday morning, led by energy and basic materials stocks as crude and commodity prices advanced.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 24.29 points, or 0.18 percent, to 13,236.33. The S&P 500 Index <.SPX> rose 6.53 points, or 0.46 percent, to 1,415.00. The Nasdaq Composite <.IXIC> added 14.30 points, or 0.46 percent, to 3,105.87.
