House passes $151 billion economic stimulus bill

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The House of Representatives on Thursday gave final approval to a $151 billion economic stimulus package that President George W. Bush is expected to sign into law.

Lawmakers hope people receiving the money will spend it quickly, giving a lift to the ailing U.S. economy. Incentives for businesses to invest and expand also are included in the measure.
