NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks pared losses early Tuesday after data showed the services sector growth picked up in August.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 209.34 points, or 1.86 percent, at 11,030.92. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 23.42 points, or 1.99 percent, at 1,150.55. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 41.71 points, or 1.68 percent, at 2,438.62.
