NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks ended higher on Wednesday, snapping a three-day losing streak, thanks to a rebound in commodity prices and strong earnings from Dell . But investors say stocks continue to face headwinds.
Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> rose 80.60 points, or 0.65 percent, to end unofficially at 12,560.18. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> added 11.70 points, or 0.88 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,340.68. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> gained 31.79 points, or 1.14 percent, to close unofficially at 2,815.00.
