NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Dow and S&P 500 turned positive in late morning trade on Thursday as investors saw earlier session weakness as a buying opportunity and as the Philly Fed index rose to the highest since January 2004.
The Nasdaq was also higher.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 12.07 points, or 0.10 percent, at 12,300.24. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was up 1.81 points, or 0.14 percent, at 1,338.13. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 4.26 points, or 0.15 percent, at 2,829.82.
