No EU pressure on Ireland for bailout: minister

DUBLIN (Reuters) - The European Union is not putting pressure on Ireland to apply for emergency assistance and there are no discussions about a bailout, the Irish minister for enterprise, trade and innovation said on Sunday.

"This government is under no pressure," Batt O'Keeffe told national broadcaster RTE.

Asked if the government was in discussions with the EU about an aid package O'Keeffe replied :"No, it hasn't arisen."
