NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street rose at the open on Thursday, boosted by a lower dollar and data showing new jobless claims fell to their lowest level in three months.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> gained 39.51 points, or 0.36 percent, to 11,165.79. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> rose 5.67 points, or 0.48 percent, to 1,188.12. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> added 8.38 points, or 0.33 percent, to 2,511.64.
