NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks fell at the open on Wednesday, weighed by underwhelming earnings and as energy shares tracked crude oil futures lower.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> dropped 51.16 points, or 0.49 percent, to 10,354.69. The Standard & Poor's 500 <.SPX> dipped 4.67 points, or 0.43 percent, to 1,087.87. The Nasdaq Composite <.IXIC> was off 10.57 points, or 0.48 percent, to 2,198.87.
