Stock futures pare gains after Wal-Mart

NEW YORK (Reuters) - S&P 500 stock index futures briefly pared gains on Tuesday after Wal-Mart Stores Inc , the world's largest retailer, said a slow economy will continue to affect customers as it reported quarterly results.

S&P 500 futures rose 6.2 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures added 62 points, and Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 10.50 points.
