BRUSSELS (Reuters) - European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana joined calls on Monday for Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe to step down from the helm of the once-prosperous country now in the midst of an economic and humanitarian crisis.
"I think the moment has arrived to put all the pressure for Mugabe to step down," Solana told reporters ahead of a meeting of foreign ministers in Brussels due to consider possible extra sanctions on his government.
